China with Lhasa

Duration: 13 Nights/14 Days

 Day 1

India/Shanghai– by Int’l flight

Arrival at the Shanghai International airport, clear immigration, meet and greet with tour guide and transfer to hotel. Arrive at hotel, the tour guide will escort you to the front desk for check-in formalities to get the room key. Take a time freshen up and a little time to relax. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 2

Shanghai
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit the Shanghai Museum which is the largest museum of ancient Chinese art in Shanghai. The museum includes artefacts demonstrating ancient wisdom and philosophy, the museum is divided into eleven galleries and three exhibition halls. Then Pearl Shop. Later visit the People Square and Nanjing Road for shopping, then go to the silk shop. later visit the lovely old Yuyuan Garden-outside look nine zig zag bridge with golden fish pond, bridges and pavilions. Then we step onto Yu Market, TV tower outside photo stop, We will explore the Bund in the evening, Cultural program: Huangpu River Cruise.  Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 3

Shanghai-Suzhou-Shanghai by car or by Coach
Breakfast at hotel; transfer to Suzhou, Upon arrival, directly go to the famous viewpoint in Suzhou-- Visit the Garden of the Master of Nets. Have a cruise on the Grand Canal. Taking a boat ride on the old Canal can give one a full view of the landscape of a typical river town in southern China including age-old dwelling houses, stone bridges of traditional designs and historical relics. Suzhou is also famous for its silk production and the last item of the day of the day is a visit to the No.1 silk factory where you can see how the silk is processed from the silk worm to the final woven cloth. Back to Shanghai. Dinner at local Indian restaurant, Transfer to hotel.

Day 4

Shanghai/Beijing   by High Speed Train
Breakfast at hotel, morning transfer to railway station go to Beijing by train. Arrive Beijing, pick up, proceed to see the Bird’s Nest (Olympic National Stadium outside) and the Water Cube (Outside).Gongfu Show in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 5

Beijing
Breakfast at hotel, visit to the world famous Tian'anmen Square the biggest square in the world that lies in the center of the city. Then the Forbidden City from which the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties governed for over 500 years. Pearl shop, and visit the Summer Palace, the largest and best preserved of all the imperial palace gardens, and boasts such delights as the “Marble Boat” and the ornately painted” Long Corridor”. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 6

Beijing
Breakfast at hotel, Begin today’s full tour with a visit to a Longdi Jade shop where we will learn about Chinese jade culture. In the afternoon, visit the fabled Great Wall-Juyong Pass, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a massive defensive structure built to keep off intrusion and Xiushui Market for shopping. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 7

Beijing/Xian – by Bullet train
Breakfast at hotel, Morning transfer to railway station go to Xian by train. Arrive Xian, pick up, then transfer to hotel and check in. Take a rest. Then we will visit Wild Goose Pagoda Square, and then the last stop we arrange today is the Muslim Bazaar of Xi’an. You can watch the Bell and Drum tower outside look, Tourists, especially from overseas come and shop here. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel. 

Day 8

Xian
Breakfast at hotel, you will set off for one of today's highlights - the incredible 2000 year-old Terra Cotta Warriors. Then we will visit the Xian Ceramics Factory. And visit the City Wall photo stop. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel. 

Day 9

Xian/Kunming   – by domestic flight
Breakfast at hotel, morning transfer to airport fly to Kunming. Arrive at Kunming pick up, then transfer to hotel and take a rest. Then we will visit Jinmabijifang and Green Park and flower Market. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel. 

Day 10

Kunming-Lahasa by train
Breakfast at hotel, today we will visit Stone Forest then transfer to railway station to  get the train to Lhasa.

Day 11

Arrive in Lhasa

When you arrive in Lhasa either by train or flight, your guide will greet you and take you to your hotel. Tourists may view the Yarlung Tsangpo River/ Bhamaputra river (the Longest and largest river in Tibet) and Lhasa river on their way to Lhasa. After arriving in Lhasa, you can take a rest and get acclimatized to high altitude. If you feel to go out, then you can go to the Potala Square, where you will enjoy the fountain with different colors and get amazing photos of the Potala and around. Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 12

Lhasa Tour - Potala Palace, Johkang Temple, and Barkor Street

Today's tour will first bring you to the Potala Palace which is the winter palace of the Dalai lama. It was put to use since the 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet. Then after lunch, tourists head to Jokhang Temple which was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century, in order to promote the Buddhist religion. Inside you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve, perhaps the only most venerated object in Tibetan Buddhism. Around the temple is Barkhor street where you can do kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals, in the meantime you can buy souvenirs.Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 13

Lhasa Tour - Drepung and Sera Monastery

In the morning ,you are going to visit Drepung monastery which is one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1416 by Jamyang choge, one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples. Ganden palace used to be Dalai lama’s palace in the Drepung before he moved to the Potala palace. In the Afternoon, Tourists will visit Sera Monastery which is another one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1419 by Jamchen Chojey, one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples. The hot attraction is the Monks debate at around 3 - 5 in the afternoon. Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 14

Departure from Lhasa

The guide will transfer you to the airport or train station and help you get on board.
